The new quad is great but the upper half of the new trails were not open (despite the official report leading one to believe they are 100% open) The new trails are not as straight as shown on the trail map and the overall terrain looks great.
The conditions were surprisingly good due to the recent 4" new reported a couple of days earlier (and another 1-2" of fluff Sunday night). In fact, the 4" was probably a conservative measurement since there was still 5-6" new at upper elevations before the new snow Sunday night. Moguls were soft with many icy patches in between but very ski-able (similar conditions in the glades). Groomed runs were primarily a nice soft powdery granular mix (especially on higher elevations) with a few sections of icy granular and ice patches.
